Shelby & Peyton’s wedding at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, Charleston, South Carolina
Shelby & Peyton wanted a beach wedding. With family & friends from Ohio & Colorado, South Carolina was a great destination from each place. The weather was absolutely perfect, not too hot and no rain! The Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina provided the perfect space to celebrate the newlyweds with a view of the marina, a private beach for the ceremony & reception, and outdoor seating for dinner.
In lieu of saying vows during their ceremony, Shelby & Peyton wrote each other letters while getting ready. Then they swapped them & read them on their hotel balconies. I love this idea!
The girls & guys got ready in their separate suites. Then Shelby did a first look with her dad, and then we got ready for the ceremony!
After a gorgeous ceremony, we did some wedding party & family shots. They had a cocktail hour on the beach and then it was time for dinner, first dances & toasts.
After all that I whisked the newlyweds away during golden hour to get some shots of just the two of them. This also allowed them to have some intentional time together and take a breather from entertaining guests.
The reception took place on the beach and it was such a fun party! Everyone lit up the dance floor. Then we did a sparkler exit at the end! It was a blast.
