Lake Dillon & Loveland Pass Sunrise Adventure Elopement
emily & phil’s dreamy sunrise elopement on
lake dillon & loveland pass in colorado
Emily & Phil met 10 years ago while they were working at the Dillon Marina. When they decided to elope, it was important to choose a special location that meant a lot to them. We discussed several ideas, like some of their favorite hikes and spots around Summit County. But it was clear we had to do something on the lake. They have a boat, and spend a lot of time in the summer enjoying the lakes. It was only fitting to say their vows on a dock in the middle of Lake Dillon where they met all those years ago.
Phil dragged a dock out to a special spot the night before. We woke up at 4am and took a pontoon boat out to it so they could say their vows as the sun rose over the Ten Mile Range. The mist coming off the water made everything look & feel so magical. The Ten Mile Range turned pink as the sun came up. Their dog Darby was their witness and they married themselves in the most intentional way that was so them. We explored an island on the lake, then headed back to have breakfast.
We regrouped after breakfast and went up Loveland Pass. Phil has a very cool lifted truck that he is very proud of, so I wanted to get that in some photos. They used to live down the road from Arapahoe Basin so it was also important to get those mountains in their photos. We explored around Pass Lake and then parked the car with a perfect view of Arapahoe Basin’s east wall behind it. I love how these photos turned out!!
